:)

Look at his nice wing feathers coming in

Haha! My little brother at his job.

Target practice.  Not too bad!

They are getting so big!

This is one of ours that hatched from Blackie and Phoenix.  Phoenix must have had a dormant gene for feathered feet and legs.  I hope they stay, I honestly don't see why they wouldn't.

Pretty wing feathers!

Oh jeeze, I still love that crazy kid

Our soon to be goat.  We pick him up Saturday.

Look at them growing up

Only a few of them wanted their pictures taken.  You can see they are starting to get their adult wing feathers.  They won't be the cute little fuzzy things anymore.  We should start to see some of them getting large combs that could possibly mean they are roosters.  However, that can be deceiving since some hens have larger combs so I won't be trying to determine sex just yet.

Pictures

Here are a few pictures since I don't really have a lot of time right now to make a real post.  I will do that later.

More little ones plus my flowers

Ace

These two hatched last night.  Unfortunately the one in the back did not make it.

This little one started to hatch last night.

This one started to hatch last night too.

I was so excited when this little tiny one started to hatch

We woke up to these guys hanging out.  The one in the middle is from the tiny egg.

You can't tell but the little black on that hatched last night is hiding in the corner and another one that hatched during the night is on top of him cuddling.

My roses are enjoying the weather.

Ace

Here is Ace

Here is the first little hole Ace made
Right after he was done getting out of his shell
This morning he was all dry and fluffy
A few more little ones are ready to say hello to the world

Their new home.  There is a heat lamp because they are still so little and a large enough container so that they all fit.  Ace is already in there because he was starting to harass the other little chicks that were still in their eggs.  Apparently he would like to let it be known he is at the top of the pecking order already :)
I will be posting more pictures tonight when I get home to see if any others have hatched and to see Ace and bond with him a little.  I'm hoping since we are the first things they are seeing after they hatch they will bond with us better and they will trust us more then the hens we have now since they don't let you play with them too much.  I'm hoping that they will see me as someone would will feed them, give them water, and hopefully trust me as much as they would their mothers.

Oh and yesterday Chris and I were just relaxing watching a movie and out of the corner of my eye I saw 4 little dog legs on the front porch.  Lilly and Hope had escaped.  So I ran to out the door just as Hope was almost at the road and went crazy and yelled for my girls and sat right on the porch and they came running to me.  So Chris came and held onto them while I grabbed shoes and leashes.  While we were walking out we were dreading thinking about how to fix the kennel that they broke out of now.  Well we come around the back of the barn and the door is wide open.  I guess the easiest way for our escape artists to escape would be out the open door.
