So many eggs

Well we got the last eggs today plus the new incubator. Oh what a relief it was to hear Chris say it came in the mail today. We would have eggs but no space. I appreciated this seller because they put they breed on the bottom or if it was a duck they just put duck on it. So here are a few pictures. The rest are on my camera, these are all from my phone.

Since I have been really slacking on posting, here are pictures that I have been taking over the last few days. Nothing really new to report on them.  They need to be in for a little while longer then hopefully we can start to see the bodies start form.  Today the first of the duck eggs arrived.  I guess I should post what kind of chickens and ducks they will be as adults.

Here is the box the ducks came in

 Here are the duck eggs.

 Both incubators are full.
It's a good thing we are getting another incubators considering we are still getting more eggs.

Here are what the chickens parents are
Here are the some of the adults from the coop we got the eggs from

This is what the ducks will look like

Sunday Funday

So we slept in late today the and then went to pick up my golf clubs from his parents. We tried to go to the course to golf 9 holes but it was too busy so we just went to the driving range. Then we went to tsc and picked up some stuff for a project I will reveal that when we have it all ready. We are going to candle the eggs again tonight when it's dark.

Patio

We put in the patio pavers we wanted today. Well I supervised while Chris and our friend Clint put it in. It looks really good for only $50.

Babies

So when Chris got home at 2:30 he decided to wake me up and we candled eggs.  So here are some pictures.  Some are really blurry because we had to keep it dark in the room so I tried to keep the camera focused on the eggs as much as possible.

More eggs

This morning I got up, got ready and grabbed the big dog crate from the barn and went off to work.  After work I drove to Howell to pick up this Muscovy duck.  It was way in a scary part and I sort of felt like I was heading into a bad horror movie.  Well the guy I was supposed to meet at his house had a horse show so I was supposed to meet his mom.  Well I get there and knock on the door three times.  The screen door was locked, I was going to open it and knock on the inside door but I couldn't.  The house was all dark and it seemed like nobody was home.  So I felt like I was basically stood up at the persons house, how ridiculous is that?  So I sent him a text saying I knocked and waited there for about 20 minutes.  He then asks me if I had tried to call his mom, which was weird that he had even gave me his mom's cell phone, his dad's cell phone and his house phone numbers.  Oh well I guess if we really want a Muscovy duck we will hatch them ourselves.  So I just drove all that way for nothing and now my blue trailblazer looks brown.

On a good note we got the last batch of eggs we ordered today.  However I was a little upset that so many eggs were cracked.  I don't think we will be ordering from him again.  They were bubble wrapped but the ends were not so quite a few them were cracked and so they had to be thrown away.  I was silly and apologized to all the eggs for not making it to a little chick. We have 5, 6, and 7 days until we know if the eggs are fertile.  I can't wait to see if the baby chicks are growing or not.

Here are a few pictures:

The last batch of eggs

Some yolk leakage

One cracked egg, just a small crack but it won't hatch

A little bit larger crack in this egg

This one had a large hole that leaked quite a bit on the other eggs

This little one brought a little bit of Mommy with him lol

Another cracked one

This one had a good size hole in it

All the eggs from the third batch

O's up for the night

The third batch in their incubator with O's up

One of the eggs out of the first batch.  This is what happened when it had a small crack and I put it in the incubator anyway.  The crack got bigger
